The municipality joins the European Week of Sport once again with a programme that kicks off on 19 September and culminates on 8 October. Family Sports Day on 26 September will bring together local clubs at the sports centre.

The Town Hall of Soto del Real has organised a new edition of the European Week of Sport, which will take place from 19 September to 8 October with activities at the Prado Real Sports Complex and other municipal facilities. The programme includes directed sessions, aquatic activities, climbing, and open days.

The calendar will start on 19 September at the Prado Real Sports Complex with a Total Training Master Class and a session of therapeutic Aqua Fitness. On 25 September, there will be a Family Climbing event at La Roca del Fénix, a proposal for sharing across generations.

The following day, 26 September, a Master Class EMOM will be held at the same sports complex. The closing event will be on 8 October with a session of Aqua Yoga at the Prado Real Sports Complex.

On Saturday 26 September, the Family Sports Day will take place, one of the main events of the week. The day will unfold at the sports centre with activities presented by the local sports clubs and the Prado Real Sports Complex. Participants will include Tandem Karate, Hípica El Soto, SRRC Rugby, Tiro con Arco Arcosoto, Escalada Canto Berrueco, Piratas Soto Basket, Fútbol Recreativo Soto, Voleibol Soto del Real, Voleibol Triple V, Judo Sierra, Tai Chi, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Ground Golf.

The activity is open to all individuals aged 4 and above, with no age limit. On the same day, there will be a registration tent where participation can be formalised until the available capacity for each proposal is reached.

Additionally, from 23 to 30 September, open days will be held at the Prado Real Sports Complex, which houses the indoor pool and municipal gym. These facilities currently have over 1,650 users. This year marks 10 years since the Town Hall took over the management of the complex, a decade during which hours and activities have been expanded and improvements such as saline chlorination, photovoltaic panels, upgrades to the purification system, and the renovation of rooms and equipment have been undertaken.

The Councillor for Sports, Nacho García, has stated that the European Week of Sport allows for physical activity to be placed at the centre from an open and participatory perspective, with proposals for different ages and ways to enjoy sport.

We want the residents to know the numerous possibilities available in Soto del Real, to encourage them to try new activities, and to find in sport a space to share with others. Family Sports Day is especially important because it brings together our clubs and families from all over the municipality on the same day," he adds.

Activities will take place at the Prado Real Sports Complex and La Roca del Fénix. Participation in Family Sports Day requires prior registration at the tent set up on the same day, until the capacity for each activity is filled.
