San Lorenzo de El Escorial hosts the second edition of 'The Best', a gastronomic contest to choose the best burger in the municipality from August 1 to September 30.
San Lorenzo de El Escorial will repeat this summer the gastronomic contest 'The Best', which aims to crown the best burger in the municipality. The second edition will take place from August 1 to September 30, with the participation of a dozen local establishments.
The main novelty this year is the digital booklet, a system that will allow participants to register each burger they consume at the participating venues. To validate the visit, a QR code must be scanned at each restaurant, with GPS verification.
The bars and restaurants competing are Restaurante Horizontal, Cafetería Miranda & Suizo, A Fuego Lento, El Balcón de Terreros, La Desmedida, El Mirador de Felipe II, Cantina Virgilio, Al Punto Hambgourmet, Las Viandas, and Cervecería Don Felipe. Each will present a burger created especially for the contest, with ingredients that reflect their gastronomic proposal.
To participate in the voting, customers must register in the digital booklet and taste the burgers from the establishments. After completing four stamps, they can distribute 3, 2, and 1 point among their favourites and enter the draw for three prizes of €250.

The draw, the award ceremony, and the recognition of the Best Burger of 2026 will take place on October 6. Interested parties can consult the digital booklet on the website set up for the contest.
