The City Council of Móstoles celebrates the second edition of 'Septiembre Vivo' with two days of awareness and emotional well-being at the North-University Sociocultural Centre. The first event will be on September 23 with the reading of the manifesto and the presentation of the Móstoles Awards for the Promotion of Emotional Well-Being.
The City Council of Móstoles has organised the second edition of 'Septiembre Vivo', a programme of activities around the World Suicide Prevention Day, which is commemorated every September 10. The two days will be held at the theatre of the North-University Sociocultural Centre and are open to all citizens.
The first event will be on September 23. At 10:00 hours, the manifesto will be read and the Móstoles Awards for the Promotion of Emotional Well-Being will be presented. At 11:30 hours, the monologue 'Abrazolamp (Cornered)' will be performed, which uses humour to address a sensitive topic and advocates hugs as a source of well-being.
The second day will take place on September 25, from 9:30 to 14:30 hours, with a conference aimed at professionals entitled 'Prevention from social agents in the face of suicidal behaviour'. It will feature a lecture by Álvaro Toledo, a general health psychologist.
The programme is framed under the slogan 'Listen, accompany and care' and has been promoted by the Department of Contracting, Seniors and Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Child and Adolescent Plan (PLIA), socio-health and educational entities in the municipality, and the 'Live' Plan of the Community of Madrid.
The aim is to raise awareness and prevent, providing tools to citizens and professionals,” according to municipal sources.
The activities are free and do not require prior registration, except for the conference for professionals, whose capacity will be managed at the centre until full. The North-University Sociocultural Centre is located at Calle de la Universidad, 3, Móstoles.
