Dozens of residents from Fresno de Torote gathered yesterday at the Patio de Armas to show their support for Ceuta, in an event called by the FEMP and the FMM.
Dozens of residents from Fresno de Torote met yesterday at the Patio de Armas of the municipality to express their support and solidarity with the Autonomous City of Ceuta and its citizens, joining the show of support that municipalities across Spain conveyed simultaneously.
The Fresno de Torote Town Hall adhered to the call made by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Federation of Municipalities of Madrid (FMM) to stand by the people of Ceuta in light of the difficult situation the city is facing.
The mayor, Ana Isabel Arias, participated in the event accompanied by councillors Ana Arranz, Abigail Santamaría, and Noelia Saiz, as well as the deputy of the Madrid Assembly Gema Covadonga.
When one part of Spain suffers, all of Spain responds. Because protecting Ceuta is protecting Spain. Because defending Ceuta is defending our security and our coexistence. And because there are things that unite us above any difference. Ceuta is all of us,” concluded Arias.
The event, held in an atmosphere of unity, served to reaffirm the bonds among all Spaniards and the need to remain together in the face of difficulties.
