The Town Hall of Boadilla del Monte has installed two new pergolas at the public schools Federico García Lorca and José Bergamín to provide shade for those waiting each day for the schoolchildren to finish.

The two structures measure 9x3 metres and are constructed with a steel metal frame and a smooth micro-perforated sheet cover, which filters sunlight but allows air to pass through. They are not waterproof, so they do not protect against rain.

At CEIP Federico García Lorca, the project also included the expansion of the pavement platform and the installation of a fence to improve road safety, along with two benches and a bin. The total investment in this centre has been €12,000.

At José Bergamín school, the pergola cost €8,000. With these two installations, the Town Hall continues its plan to improve access to the educational centres in the municipality.
