The municipality joined the call from the FEMP with a gathering in Plaza Mayor, where the official manifesto of support for the autonomous city was read.
The municipality of Las Rozas joined yesterday afternoon the call from the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) with a gathering under the slogan “We are all Ceuta” in the Plaza Mayor, which overflowed with solidarity for the autonomous city.
The mayor, José de la Uz, accompanied by the councillors of the Government team and the municipal group of Vox in the municipality, voiced the feelings of the residents by reading the full official manifesto promoted by the FEMP. “We have gathered to express our firm and unwavering support for Ceuta and all Ceutíes in light of the serious situation the city is facing due to the massive and irregular entry of thousands of people,” De la Uz stated.
The manifesto emphasized that Spanish sovereignty over the autonomous city is not questioned or negotiated, being based on its history, law, and the democratic will of the Ceutíes. The text also expressed deep gratitude to the Ceutí society for its calmness and solidarity, extending this to the Security Forces and Corps, healthcare workers, and humanitarian entities.
