The Town Hall of Torres de la Alameda maintains the free service Las Tardes del Cole to help balance work and family in the upcoming school year. Registrations are now open.

The Town Hall of Torres de la Alameda has confirmed that the reconciliation service Las Tardes del Cole will continue to be active during the 2026/27 school year. The programme, which is free of charge, extends the school day to facilitate family reconciliation in the municipality.

The service will be provided from 16:00 to 18:00 from October to May, and from 15:00 to 17:00 during the months of September and June. It is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 years who are registered in Torres de la Alameda or enrolled at CEIP Nuestra Señora del Rosario.

Interested families can register for full weeks or for individual days, provided they notify at least 48 hours in advance. Applications should be sent by email to igualdad@torresdelaalameda.org along with the corresponding supporting documentation.

Places will be allocated following a priority order. First, single-parent families, victims of gender-based violence or other forms of violence against women, long-term unemployed women, women over 45, or family units with other caregiving responsibilities will be prioritised, with requirements that must be documented. Secondly, families where both parents or legal guardians are working will be prioritised, for which a letter from each parent's employer detailing their working hours will be required. Finally, the order of registration will be taken into account based on the date and time the email is received.

The programme is funded through the Corresponsables Plan from the Ministry of Equality, which aims to promote shared responsibility between women and men in the workplace, family, and community.

For any questions about the service, the Department of Education of the Town Hall can be contacted via email at educacion@torresdelaalameda.org or by phone at 91 135 16 30. Applications are accepted throughout the school year.
