The Patron Saint Festivities basketball tournament and the petanque tournament will take place this Sunday 13. Next week, there will be ground golf, athletics, football, volleyball and a cross in El Soto on the 20th.
The Patron Saint Festivities of Móstoles, celebrated this year under the title of European City of Sport 2026, face a weekend with basketball and petanque as the main activities. The highlight is the eleventh edition of the Patron Saint Festivities Tournament organised by the Club Baloncesto Opticlass Raíces Móstoles this Sunday 13 at the Los Rosales pavilion, a day focused on inclusive sport that will bring together players, families, clubs and fans.
On the same Sunday, around 80 players will participate in the petanque tournament to be held around Avenida Portugal, 11. The activity is organised by the Club Petanca Móstoles and is open to the public.
The sports programme will continue next week with competitions in ground golf, athletics, 11-a-side football, 7-a-side football, futsal, volleyball, basketball and cross country in various facilities across the city.
On Friday 18, the Iker Casillas fields will host the Móstoles Ground Golf tournament starting at 10:00. The following day, Saturday 19, the IV Urban Mile Diana Martín will take place in PAU-4 from 17:00.
On the 19th and 20th, the Super Cup Municipal League will bring together the best teams from Móstoles in volleyball, basketball, 11-a-side football, 7-a-side football and futsal. The finals will be held at the Eva Manguán and Los Rosales pavilions, as well as the Iker Casillas fields.
The closing of the sports programme for the Patron Saint Festivities will be the cross organised by the Móstoles Municipal Police, scheduled for Sunday, September 20, from 8:00 to 14:00 in the El Soto Natural Park.
The organisation has cancelled the basketball activity initially planned for this Saturday due to a readjustment in the sports programme of the Patron Saint Festivities.
