The municipality of Rivas-Vaciamadrid celebrates its Bike Festival on Sunday 27 September, with departures at 10:30 for adults and at 11:30 for families. Registrations cost €5.50 and are now open.
The Bike Festival returns to Rivas-Vaciamadrid on Sunday 27 September with two routes, one for adults and another for families, organised by the Rivas-Vaciamadrid City Council and the Rivas Cycling Club, sponsored by the H2O shopping centre. The registration fee is €5.50 and can be completed on the city council's sports registration website.
The adult peloton will depart at 10:30 from the fairgrounds of the Pilar Bardem auditorium. The route goes through Fundición Street, the avenues of Miguel Hernández, Deporte, Victims of Terrorism, 8 de Marzo, and Los Almendros, where the first regrouping will take place. It will then continue along the Avenue of Provinces, a stretch through paths in Barcavieja Park and the Cerro del Telégrafo, and Pilar Miró Avenue, with a second regrouping.
The family departure is scheduled for 11:30 from the Avenue of Cerro del Telégrafo. The itinerary runs through Bellavista Park, the avenues of Cerro del Telégrafo and Pilar Miró, Ángel Saavedra Street, 1st of May Avenue, Levante Avenue, and the streets of Juan Gris, Tomás Edison, and Juan de la Cierva, ending at the parking lot of the H2O shopping centre. The arrival of both pelotons is set for 12:10 at the H2O esplanade, where gifts will be raffled among participants at 12:30.
The organisation reminds that wearing a helmet is mandatory and that registration includes accident insurance. Additionally, there will be a medical ambulance throughout the route. People of all ages can participate.
The collection of race numbers will take place at the information point of the H2O shopping centre, on the first floor, over three days: on Thursday 24 from 17:00 to 21:00, on Friday 25 from 10:00 to 14:00, and on Saturday 26 from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00.
