The Sports Department of Rivas-Vaciamadrid opens the application period on July 7 for the municipal sports schools for the 2026-2027 season, aimed at new students wishing to apply for a place. The application period closes on September 10.
There are two application periods depending on whether the school requires a prior level test or not. Schools without a level test accept applications from July 7 to September 10 for all modalities except for extracurricular school activities, swimming, paddle, tennis, skating (only the groups from Cerro del Telégrafo), indoor cycling, and weight training.
Schools with a level test include swimming (all modalities except swimming for pregnant women), tennis, paddle, and skating (only the groups from Cerro del Telégrafo). Pre-registrations run from August 27 to September 10, following the completion of the level test. Appointments for this test will be available from August 27 at 9:00 on the website inscripciones.rivasciudad.es, and the tests will take place from September 1 to 8.
For children's swimming and skating with birth years 2021 and 2022, there are two options. Those who choose 'Does not know how to swim' (level 00BA children's pool) or 'Does not know how to skate' (level 00BA) can select groups for the draw at the time of pre-registration without a level test. Those opting for 'Will take level test' must complete it. Children born between 2011 and 2020 must take the level test. Both options cannot be chosen: if there is duplication, the application with the lower level will be eliminated.
In tennis and paddle, the level test is mandatory for all ages, both children and adults.
Pre-registration is done on the website inscripciones.rivasciudad.es. Those needing assistance can write to deportesadministracion@rivasciudad.es or call 91 666 50 33 and 91 670 11 40. Only one pre-registration per activity is allowed: if multiple registrations are detected, the department will cancel all and validate the last one. A maximum of four groups can be chosen in order of preference.
The draw for places will be on Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00 in the office of the Sports Department. The results will be published that same day from 22:00 on the municipal website rivasciudad.es, in the Sports section.
Confirmation of places will take place from September 16 to 21, online at inscripciones.rivasciudad.es or in person with a prior appointment at the department offices (only until 20:00, excluding Saturdays and Sundays). From September 28, new pre-registrations or access to the waiting list can be requested. For indoor cycling and weight training, only direct registration via email to deportesadministracion@rivasciudad.es is available.
