The Tres Cantos City Council has published the call for the 2026 Sports Effort Awards, with a maximum funding of €30,000. The Sports Department promotes these awards to recognise the merits of local athletes and entities that have excelled in national and international competitions.

The call values achievements from the 2025-2026 season, which runs from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Athletes from both individual and team disciplines who have excelled at the national or international level, as well as clubs that have reached the highest categories in their sports, can apply.
Requirements vary depending on the applicant. Sports entities must have their registered office in Tres Cantos, be non-profit, be legally registered in the Community of Madrid and the City Council, and have a minimum of three years of existence. In the case of individual athletes, they must practice an individual sport or be part of a regional or national team in a collective discipline, and have been registered in Tres Cantos or belong to a club in the city for at least two years prior to the application. Documentation must prove their federative link and the most notable sports results of the season.

Clubs and associations must complete the process electronically through the City Council's electronic headquarters. Individuals can submit their application either in person at the municipal registry or electronically.
