The Tourist Innovation Centre of the Sierra Norte is organising six bus routes to discover murals in 42 municipalities. Puentes Viejas offers stops in four of its villages.
The Tourist Innovation Centre of the Sierra Norte de Madrid has launched the “Walls that Speak” Routes, an initiative that combines urban art, nature and rural heritage to showcase the region through its murals. The six bus routes will take place between 26 September and 25 October.
The activity is exclusively aimed at residents registered in one of the 42 municipalities of the Sierra Norte de Madrid. Participation is free and places are limited to 25 people per route.
In the case of Puentes Viejas, Route 3, scheduled for 4 October, includes stops in Cinco Villas, Mangirón, Paredes de Buitrago and Serrada de la Fuente, allowing residents to board the bus in their own village without having to travel outside the municipality. The route continues through Berzosa del Lozoya, Robledillo de la Jara, Puebla de la Sierra and Cervera de Buitrago, and the return is made to the same starting point.
Each route follows a circular circuit with a stop for a tasting of local products during the first round. Interested individuals can register for any of the six routes, even if they do not correspond to their municipality of residence, via the pre-registration form.
