The Rivas-Vaciamadrid City Council has awarded the Business and Entrepreneurship Awards 2026 at an event attended by around a hundred people. Six awards worth up to €8,000 were distributed among 68 nominations, 16 more than in the first edition.
The Pedro Zerolo hall of the Administrative Services building in Rivas-Vaciamadrid hosted the delivery of the Business and Entrepreneurship Awards 2026 on 9 September, granted by the City Council as part of the municipal programme Rivas Emprende. About a hundred people attended the event.
The finalists presented their projects in an elevator pitch format: exactly two minutes of presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. The jury was made up of representatives from social agents (business associations and trade unions) that are part of the Local Employment Pact of Rivas, along with staff from the Department of Economic Development and Employment and the Technical Secretariat of the City Strategy.
A total of 68 nominations were submitted, 16 more than in the first edition held last year. The awards were divided into six categories, three for entrepreneurship and three for businesses.
In Young Entrepreneurship, the winner was Pablo Hiruelas (ICEINMOTION), with €4,000, and the finalist was Víctor Marcos (HoyQueComemos). In Senior Entrepreneurship, the first prize of €4,000 went to David Delgado (Educantamos); the finalists were Alberto Arrillaga (Ikara Project Lab, S.L.) and Antonio Rubén Barrio (Amiga IA). In Best Entrepreneurship, Cristian Aladino (Educ.AI) won €4,000, with Elva Karina (Sweet Karina) and Beatriz Díaz (The Yard Hybrid Training) as finalists.
In the business categories, Atenea Óptica Rivas, S.L. won in Commerce and Hospitality with €6,000; the finalists were Giosam Food Art, S.L. and Tercer Tiempo Rivas, C.B. In Microenterprise, the award of €6,000 went to Smart Toilets Ibérica, S.L., with Wavemotion, S.L.L. and Agrícola Riconatura, S.L. as finalists. In SME, Tratamiento Superficial Robotizado, S.L. received €8,000; At Home English, S.L. and La Casa de las Brasas, S.L. were finalists.
The awards were presented by the mayor of Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Aída Castillejo, who highlighted the business reality and the potential of all the entrepreneurship projects presented during her speech.
