The Calisthenics park El Navajuelo in Alpedrete will host the II Calisthenics Festival on September 19, featuring free workshops, exhibitions, and competitions for all ages from 5 years old.
On September 19, Alpedrete will celebrate the second edition of its Calisthenics Festival, a free event taking place from 11:00 to 14:00 at the Calisthenics park El Navajuelo.
The activity, organised by the Youth Department of the Alpedrete Town Hall, is open to all ages from 5 years old, with no prior experience or registration required. The programme includes an introduction to the discipline, exhibitions, workshops, challenges, games, and competitions, with prizes awarded at the end.
The workshops will be led by professionals from Free Movement, who will adapt the exercises to each participant's level and provide guidelines for injury prevention. There will also be music and drinks available for attendees throughout the day.
Calisthenics is a discipline that works with one's own body weight through exercises such as pull-ups, push-ups, or squats, developing strength, coordination, agility, body control, and endurance.
The El Navajuelo park, inaugurated in 2024, is equipped specifically for this practice and has become a healthy outdoor leisure space for the community.
