The hybrid event Deka Mile Área 91 Rivas takes place on Saturday, September 26, in a warehouse on Calle del Tornillo in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. The circuit combines a mile of running with ten zones of strength and endurance.

The Rivas-Vaciamadrid City Council has included the Deka Mile: Área 91 Rivas in the programming of the European Week of Sport. The event will be held on Saturday, September 26 in a warehouse on Calle del Tornillo, with different heats throughout the day.

The circuit features ten alternating zones of strength and endurance work interspersed along a mile, which is 1.6 kilometers. Between each zone, participants complete 160 meters of running.

The zones start with basic movements and progressively increase the involvement of the whole body. The last five, from 6 to 10, require total focus: reverse lunges, rows, box jumps, medicine ball sit-ups, ski erg, farmer's carry, air bike, dead ball shoulder over, tank push/pull, and weighted burpees.

The event is conducted in pairs. Both members run together for the first and last segments; from there, they freely decide who runs each segment and share the goal of meters or repetitions in the work zones. Registration includes a t-shirt and medal.

Event included by the Rivas City Council and its Sports Department in the programming of the European Week of Sport.

Registrations are open on the Spartan website. The Sports Department of Rivas-Vaciamadrid organizes this event along with other activities for the European Week of Sport.
