The street food event brings together eleven stalls of burgers, hot dogs, and desserts in the square of the former market location, on Juan Carlos I Avenue. Entry is free and there will be live music, raffles, and a children's area.

San Martín de la Vega will host the Mordidafest from September 17 to 20, 2026, an itinerant street food festival featuring burgers, hot dogs, fries, and desserts. The event will be set up in the square of the former market location, on Juan Carlos I Avenue, with free entry.

The First Deputy Mayor, Sergio Neira, explained that the format responds to a gastronomic concept popular in large cities, combining culinary proposals with activities, music, and raffles. In his speech, he noted that hosting this festival is an opportunity for the municipality and highlighted the presence of local residents among the participants.

The local sector will also be included, as both one of the Street Foods and one of the concerts are well-known to us as they involve residents of San Martín de la Vega

The event will feature eleven participants: La Demo, Celestial, Barbarie, Chuleta City, Scampia, Only Chees Cakes, El Vacilón, Kahos, King Patatas, and Smoke On The Road. The organisation recommends asking at each stall about gluten-free options or any allergens.

Opening hours will be: Thursday 17 from 19:00 to 23:00; Friday 18 from 19:00 to 24:00; Saturday 19 from 13:30 to 16:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00; and Sunday 20 from 13:30 to 16:30 and from 19:00 to 23:30.

Live music includes a concert by Sax and Bleu on Saturday 19 at 14:00 and the Rock & Food event with the group Perverxiones on Sunday 20 at 14:00. Additionally, there will be a DJ, entertainment, and a children's area with attractions.

Neira encouraged residents to participate: “We encourage all residents to enjoy a family weekend and try the various offerings that will be coming to San Martín de la Vega during these days.”
