The University Hospital of Henares, in Coslada, celebrates the seventeenth edition of the Alzheimer Conference this Wednesday, an event organised by AFA Corredor del Henares with the collaboration of the City Council of Coslada. The day unfolds throughout the entire day at the hospital and is aimed at patients, families, and professionals involved in the care of dementia.
This year's slogan is "Small Actions, Big Memories". The programme includes lectures, round tables, and shared reflection spaces with the aim of providing attendees with practical tools to face the daily challenges of the disease. The participating specialists address the resources available in the care of patients and families, advances in research, and the experiences of professionals linked to the care and support in dementia.
AFA Corredor del Henares is based in Coslada and brings together families and individuals affected by Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other dementias. The association provides support and companionship in the municipality.
The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Coslada, Ángel Viveros, alongside the managing director of the University Hospital of Henares, Ignacio Martínez Jover, and representatives from other municipalities in the hospital's reference area.
